Live Scan Fingerprinting

ACCU-Print Live Scan Fingerprinting service is available five days per week. We strive to get our clients in and out quickly with very minimal wait. If you have no one ahead of you, the entire Live Scan fingerprinting process takes approx. five to ten minutes. ACCU-Print does not require appointments, we accept walk-ins for your convenience.

ACCU-Print also offers mobile service for your business seven days per week. Rates are determined by location, and number of clients to be fingerprinted.

All prints are secure, and all completed Request for Live Scan forms will be contained in a locked file cabinet as required by the DOJ for the required timeframe and destroyed according to DOJ specifications. ACCU-Print is subject to inspection by a DOJ representative at any time, to ensure security of information for all individuals who have been fingerprinted by ACCU-Print.

WHAT IS LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING?

Live Scan Fingerprinting is a process that uses an electronic scanner, not ink.

Live Scan fingerprinting starts with the process of rolling your fingerprints on the electronic scanner, then the fingerprints are submitted to the DOJ to conduct a criminal background check. DOJ strives to get results to the requesting agency within 24 – 48 hours, sometimes this process does take longer. The client and the fingerprint service does not receive results. If you would like to check the status of your fingerprints you will need the copy of the Live Scan request form you received at the time of service. The ATI number is listed at the bottom of the form beginning with the letter “B” followed by three numbers, three letters, three numbers. (The letters represent the first two of your last name and the first of your first name.) WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

  1. Your printed Live Scan Request from the requesting agency.
  2. A Form of Payment.
  3. A valid ID. (Any state Driver’s License, ID or Passport.) If your Driver’s License (DL) has expired and has not currently renewed, bring your Birth Certificate, your Social Security Card, and a piece of mail that connects you to the address on the Live Scan form.

WHERE DO I OBTAIN THE LIVE SCAN REQUEST FORM?

            The Requesting Agency (School, Church, Employer, Agency) will provide you with the Live Scan Request form.

HOW DO I GET A COPY OF MY CRIMINAL HISTORY?

  • Record Review for the State of California is the DOJ level of service. (Anything in your criminal history in the State of California only.) Print out page one of the Live Scan request form from the link below and bring in to ACCU-Print. Page two is information for you and not needed at ACCU-Print.

Complete the applicant information only and bring to ACCU-Print. The Record Review is $40.00 that is, $25.00 for the DOJ and $15.00 for the rolling fee if you pay with cash, check or debit. Your results will be mailed to you in hard copy.

  • FBI Record Review is the Federal level of service. Please visit the website below. You will complete the form and payment online. Then come into ACCU-Print for the fingerprinting process. Your results will be provided electronically.
