What is Ink Card Fingerprinting?
Ink card fingerprinting is the traditional method of rolling fingerprints onto an FBI FD-258 fingerprint card using ink. It is most commonly required for out-of-state background checks or agencies that do not accept California Live Scan.
What You'll Receive
- FBI-approved FD-258 fingerprint cards
- Fingerprints rolled by a DOJ-certified technician
- Each card is completed, signed, and includes the technician's FPC number
- Completed cards are ready before you leave
Before You Visit
- Bring a valid photo ID
- Bring any fingerprint cards provided by your requesting agency (if applicable)
- We provide FBI-approved FD-258 fingerprint cards if needed
- $20 per FD-258 fingerprint card
- Walk-ins welcome — no appointment needed (up to 4 cards)
Important: Ink card fingerprinting is unavailable after 3:30 PM on Mondays. On all other business days, please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing.
